Eric J. Forman, Esq. is the founder and principal attorney at Eric Forman Law Office. He received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2009, where he was Associate Notes Editor of the Cardozo Public Law, Policy & Ethics Journal. Eric graduated cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Media Arts in 2002. He is licensed to practice law in New York.
Eric has several years of high-level in-house business and legal experience. Prior to starting the firm, he worked as General Counsel and Director of Digital/Social Media for ProActive Capital Group, an investor relations firm specializing in emerging life sciences and biotechnology companies. The legal components of the position included trademark & copyright registration, creating corporate structures and contract drafting and analysis. The business side included drafting website content and branding initiatives, creating and maintaining all social media feeds, and collaborating with clients to build effective and compliant digital marketing campaigns.
Before joining ProActive, Eric was Of Counsel and Senior Project Manager for Shore Group Associates, an innovative, multi-national information technology company. At Shore, Eric negotiated, created and maintained contracts for the Financial Software & Mobile Application units. In this role, he handled all legal matters including tax, regulation, employment, intellectual property and establishing firm guidelines. Additionally, he managed several teams in the Technology, Editorial Review and Client-Relations departments.
Eric has performed a substantial amount of pro bono and volunteer work with organizations such as The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, The Innocence Project, WNYC 93.9 FM, and NYCTV.
